Kohler Replacements For Kawasaki Engines

Jason: Hello there, I am looking for a price on a FB460v kawasaki motor and a FC420v.
Gary: Hello Jason, What kind of equipment are your working with??
Jason: The FB460V is followed by KS08 meaning it is FB460V – KS08 and the
Jason: walk behind mowers
Gary: what brand mower
Jason: and the other is FC420V-CS07
Jason: Toro 44″ walk behind with electric clutch for the FB460V
Jason: and a kees 36″ walk behind has the FC420V with manual lever clutch
Gary: Most customers buy the Kohler CV15-41582 or the 41583 to replace these engines. (Kawasaki doesn’t make single cylinder engines any more).
Jason: will that motor work on both of them
Gary: The 41582 has the electric clutch alternator but we have had a few problems with interference on the oil filter placement.
Gary: The 41583 has the kawasaki style oil filter placement but doesn’t have the electric clutch alternator.
Gary: The 41582 is cheaper and would work on either if you don’t have any oil filter issues.
Gary: If you pull up the engines online you can see the placement of the filter on the back side near the above deck gear boxes. (that is the problem if we see one.)
Jason: how’s the pricing on it. What we could do is get one here and look at it and see if it would work for the other mower
